Salut mes amis et ma famille!
So the last time I blogged I had to wear a scarf and coat to class, and today I went in shorts and sandals (which I discovered was incredibly un-parisian of me). Yes, be jealous, for today I discovered why so many people have made so many beautiful works of art and music concerning Paris in the spring. The sun is out and shining on the monuments, the city is bustling, the birds chirping, flowers blooming, and frenchman all enjoying the cigarettes (the city wide indoor smoking ban has done less than nothing to curtail the tobacco intake of the population). This new found not-crappy weather had had me doing a great number of things in Paris, most of which involving gardens and such. This past weekend however, I took a trip to the Loire valley, saw the chateaux at Chambourd (over-rated) and Chenaunceau (horribly under-rated and might be one of the most beautiful places i've ever seen)went wine tasting, and picked up some delicious, and absurdly cheap bottles of wine.
The near future holds in store a trip to amsterdam for 5 days to visit my friend from school, and a lot of ripping my hair out while studying for LSATs while sitting in beautiful french gardens for my 2 week easter break (Catholicism can come in handy sometimes).
Other than that, life is fairly uneventful and consists mostly of trying not to hemorrhage money quite so fast and not do anything too stupid.
Hope all is well back in the states.
Dan
